What is GPA Midstream and How Can YPP Members Get Involved?

GPA Midstream has served the energy industry since 1921 and represents more than 50 domestic corporate members that directly employ 57,000 employees engaged in the gathering, transporting, processing, treating, storage, and marketing of natural gas, natural gas liquids, crude oil and refined products, commonly referred to as “midstream activities.

Bio: Stuart Saulters joined the GPA Midstream Association as Vice President of Federal Affairs in October 2024. At GPA Midstream, Stuart collaborates with members to lead federal advocacy efforts, including working with government agencies and lawmakers, ensuring energy and climate policies enable the delivery of affordable, reliable, and cleaner energy.
 
Prior to joining GPA Midstream, Stuart served as Vice President of Government Relations at the American Public Gas Association (APGA).  He has also worked on energy policy, as a Senior Policy Advisor, at the American Petroleum Institute (API). Before his time at API, Stuart was a Design and Facility Engineer for Chevron, spending time at their refinery in south Mississippi, as well as in the Appalachian Basin, where he supported the upstream assets Chevron used to operate in West Virginia, Ohio, and western Pennsylvania. 
 
He graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from Mississippi State University.  Stuart, his wife, daughter, and son, as well as two cats and a dog, live in DC’s Brookland neighborhood
