PHMSA is currently developing several new regulations that will result in significant changes for pipeline operators and service providers. These regulations address important areas of pipeline integrity management, including pipeline assessments, anomaly remediation, MAOP reconfirmation, valve automation, leak detection, and recordkeeping. This webinar will provide a summary of the topics included in these new regulations, potential impacts, and anticipated timelines.
CJ. Osman is Director of Operations, Safety and Integrity at the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA). Mr. Osman is responsible for promoting sound federal safety regulations and policies for natural gas pipelines. Prior to joining INGAA, Mr. Osman worked for an operating company in engineering, construction and project management roles on a variety of upstream and midstream projects in Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. Mr. Osman received his Bachelors of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Osman serves as Lead for the Advisor Relations Work Group.
Chris Kuhman is a Pipeline Policy Advisor at the American Petroleum Institute (API). Mr. Kuhman advocates for effective federal safety regulations and policies related to liquid and natural gas pipelines. Prior to joining API, Mr. Kuhman worked as an engineer for a pipeline company as well as a hydraulic fracturing engineer for an oilfield service company. Mr. Kuhman received his Bachelor of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Kansas.
